Thrive uses VOC detection technology to translate breath into personalized nutritional guides, transforming everyday health management into an engaging and empowering experience. By turning a simple daily habit into actionable health insights, Thrive challenges the traditional passive approach to nutrition and empowers users to take control of their well-being.
SELECTION OF PICS FROM NTU SHOWCASE 2023
The SCARAB StreamRide, is a Motorised Paddleboard Fin heavily inspired by biomimicry within design to increase efficiency & overall product appeal. Humpback whale biology was used in the design of the lower fin section to channel water flow in a controlled way. The system uses an aquatic toroidal propeller to propel the board through the water which is an emerging propeller technology that further lends itself to efficiency in speed, noise, power & battery consumption. Whilst only a prototype at this stage the fin will last 1 hour on full speed and 3-4 hours on low speed.
As an individual designer, I believe sustainability not only plays a role in a product's manufacturing and material usage but also in the overall life cycle and systems involved in producing and recycling a product.
