MC-1 Modular Camera: Redefining Accessibility and Customization
The MC-1 is a revolutionary modular camera designed to meet the needs of both left-handed and right-handed users. The MC-1’s innovative design is perfect for beginners on a budget and photography enthusiasts seeking enhanced ergonomics and control. Featuring a large APS-C sensor and a generous display, the compact main hub offers high-quality images in a pocket-sized form, making it ideal for travel and street photography.

The MC-1 allows users to start with the main hub and expand their setup with optional grip and clip-on viewfinder components for greater control when portability isn’t a priority. Secure stainless steel rails ensure reliable connections between modular parts, enhancing durability.

Picture of the cameraDesigner Rowan Baxter identified significant gaps in the photography market for an ambidextrous camera while working in retail for a camera store. His insights have led to the creation of the MC-1, a solution that addresses the needs of both left-handed and right-handed photographers.

“A well-thought-out idea with useful benefits for the end user,” said a photographic industry professional.

“The MC-1 is designed to adapt to the evolving needs of photographers, ensuring they have a camera that grows with them,” said Designer, Rowan Baxter.
