Push Start On Your Embedded GUI Development

Hitex (UK) Ltd Stand: H6
Push Start On Your Embedded GUI Development
Push Start On Your Project

Introduction

Earlier this year, Hitex and Embedded Elements announced a collaborative partnership to offer greater support for customers looking to develop embedded systems with Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).  They have now taken this one step further with their project launch pad initiative.

Nothing happens if you don’t start

In an increasingly cautious climate, development projects often stall, or ‘get put on the back burner’ before they are even started.  Embedded Elements’ Richard Bister comments that “businesses appear more reluctant to take decisions and are increasingly risk averse when it comes to engineering projects”.  This may be due to external economic uncertainties such as changes in government, high inflation and even international geopolitics.  There are also the more immediate blockers such as available resources, and skills as well as selecting an appropriate technology, platform and toolchain.

All of this seems to result in selection paralysis and projects don’t start, let alone deliver. Paul Roberts from Hitex states “nothing happens if you don’t start, so we wanted to find a way to remove some of these barriers”.

Derisk the decisions and accelerate development

The project launch pad initiative aims to reduce some of the immediate risks and enable companies to push start on embedded GUI projects.  This is achieved by delivering a tailored development platform with examples for Embedded Wizard (TARA Systems’ embedded GUI technology) ported to it, and the first screen of your GUI developed for your application.  This is a massive leg up and removes the unknown variables and uncertainties of getting started with a new platform, technology, and toolchain whilst reducing time and effort for constrained engineering resources.

By working directly with Hitex they will assist in selecting an appropriate target microprocessor platform from an extensive range of embedded modules and Single Board Computers (SBCs) ensuring a technically capable solution for your application and providing a channel of supply for a starter kit to enable development to begin.  Jointly Embedded Elements will port the Embedded Wizard examples to the selected platform and develop the core features of the first screen of the application GUI resulting in an integrated delivery to the customer of a ready to go development platform.

When do they launch?

The launch pad initiative will be live from 9th October this year, to coincide with the Engineering Design Show 2024.  More details can be sought from Hitex at stand H6 at the show, where they will be more than happy to discuss options, terms and details as well as specific project requirements with you.
