Designed for Sustainability!

Winslow Adaptics’ Stand G12 at the Engineering Design Show (EDS) on 9-10 October 2024 is a must-attend place for anyone passionate about Design for Sustainability.

Teri-Ann Winslow, CEO explains, “As design engineers, we have the opportunity to create innovative solutions that extend the lifespan of electronic products, significantly reducing environmental impact. By incorporating sustainability into every design decision, we can minimise waste, lower our carbon and raw material footprint, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future for the industry and for the planet”.

As it becomes increasingly apparent that sustainability is not a choice but a requirement, Winslow Adaptics provides a toolbox of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that promote design longevity and eco-friendly, circular solutions.

On Thursday 10th October in the New Electronics Theatre, John Dyson from Winslow Adaptics will be presenting his paper ‘Bridging Innovations: Uniting Engineering Design, Sustainability, and Business Development through the Product as a Service (PaaS) delivery model’. A thought-provoking presentation that sets out to show that by moving products to an, ‘As A Service’ delivery model, users and manufacturers can connect the missing pieces of the wheel of product circularity. Through PaaS, the objectives of Sustainability and Business Development are no longer at cross-purposes.

Attendees at the Engineering Design Show (EDS) can engage with thought leaders and innovators shaping the future of sustainable engineering, attend expert-led workshops, and discover the latest tools for reducing environmental impact in product design.

Combating Counterfeit Semiconductors with Custom test sockets from Winslow Adaptics.

Also on show at the Winslow stand will be our quick turnaround, ever-popular Custom Test Sockets. They cater to your unique needs, providing precision, efficiency, and a perfect fit for your design even when available space is at a premium. Suitable for counterfeit and functional testing, each one is manufactured to industry leading tolerances and to your exact requirements.

Sometimes the only way to go forwards is to reverse.

Winslow Adaptics’ Reverse Engineering services offer a cutting-edge solution for recreating or improving legacy components when original designs are unavailable. By meticulously analysing and reconstructing existing parts, Winslow ensures that businesses can maintain, enhance, or replicate crucial components, reducing downtime and extending product life cycles. This service is essential for industries looking to innovate without losing compatibility or function with older systems.

Assure manufacturing deadlines and sustainability objectives with the Adaptics Program.

Keep your production on track and meet today’s stringent lead times by utilising our proven Form, Fit, Function component alternatives during electronic and mechanical shortages. While also extending the lifecycle of your products through sustainable, long-lasting solutions, the system negates the need for hasty re-design and re-qualification. The Adaptics Program offers a lower cost and more sustainable longer product lifecycle.

Winslow started the Adaptics Program over 30 years ago, when Marconi approached them looking for a solution to an obsolete semiconductor. It seemed like a good idea then, but now in 2024 with sustainability at the top of the agenda, we know it is the only choice.
